A Sneak Peek at Upcoming Projects and VOTE for me!

Hi friends!

There are all kinds of exciting new developments around here and I have lots of things to accomplish this Spring and Summer.

One of my goals is to post more regularly on this blog and to make more of an effort to update my website and shop offerings. I paint all the time, but I find very little joy in the process of scanning images, uploading them, writing descriptions, etc. (which is funny, because there is plenty of joy when I make a sale (haha)) and so I tend to let the paintings pile up instead of sharing them with the world!

Here's a quick list of some of the things on my radar:

  • I currently have a show at the Chatham Bookstore on Main Street in Chatham, New York. "Books and Blooms" was originally slotted to be open for the whole month of May, but the show has been extended through June as well. Please stop in, say hi to the lovely Nicole and Wendy who do a great job running a great bookstore, and take time to look at the botanical paintings. They're all for sale, and lots of them have corresponding fine art prints for sale as well. You can check out the bookstore and read their announcement of my show here
  • I've been nominated as "Best Visual Artist" in Columbia County!! WOW! Please vote for me by going HERE. From what I understand they will only count ballots where people have voted in at least ten categories, so also vote for my friends at the Chatham Berry Farm and Jackson's Old Chatham House while you're there!
  • From July 6-8 I'll be at the Berkshires Arts Festival, having my very first experience as a fine art fair vendor. Phew! I'm nervous, and I have lots of work to do to get ready, but I'm also extremely excited and can't wait to give the whole thing a try. You can check out the festival here and hopefully I'll be doing a post dedicated to the process of getting ready for an Art Festival sometime soon!
  • I'm launching the first in a line of limited edition signed prints. The first is a detailed 10x14 inch purple hydrangea bloom with lifelike leaves and will be done in a run of 50 prints for $75 each. I'm hoping to do more of these runs as time goes on.
  • I am planning my first "Paint and Sip" class to be held at the Chatham Berry Farm sometime in the near future. I'm working on developing some lessons that will be fun to paint and easy to learn so that there is little to no experience necessary!

And there's even more, but that's enough for now! Looking forward to getting back into the swing of the warmer months and enjoying the weather. Hope you're all well!!
